**Quite a bit of drawing/painting is preparation, conceptualization, and procedure. The preparation side is a bit self explanatory.

Drawing/painting highlights experience and getting to know your preferences in order to do your best. This helps with workforce readiness, because my mindset of ‘I really prefer this paintbrush’ translated to my work habits and ethics. For example: From-“I really prefer this paintbrush”  To-“I don’t think these kind of notes help, how about…”  From-“I have to do at least one sketch today” To-“I at least have to start my physics homework the day I get it. I know I’ll fall into it then.”

Drawing/Painting is an expression of yourself and how you view the world. Curating your work environment and style is discovering yourself (self-awareness). Mistakes in art is inevitable and plenty, you must find a way to incorporate it or fix it (coping with stress and emotions)(problem solving and creative thinking). In a career of art your job is to take the concepts and ideas from your client and apply it to your expertise to create something your client loves (critical thinking and decision making). Many artworks are created and commissioned in memorial, celebration, or to promote a cause (empathy).
